A Bar or Bat Mitzvah is one of life’s most meaningful milestones - a time to celebrate growth, pride, and Jewish identity. It’s not just a ceremony, but a joyful journey for your child and your family.

At Chabad of Fairfield, we believe every child shines in their own way, and their Bar or Bat Mitzvah should reflect that. We take the time to get to know each student and family, creating an experience that’s personal, uplifting, and truly memorable.

This journey gives your child a chance to explore Jewish life in a meaningful way and make it their own - now and for the future.

Preparation

To help make this milestone both meaningful and smooth, preparation includes:

1. Hebrew School and BMitzvah Discovery Course - Building a foundation in Jewish knowledge and connection.

2. Shabbat Participation – Joining us for at least five Shabbat services (or Kids Shul programs) with parents, to experience the warmth of community and prayer.

3. Private Tutoring – Personalized lessons with Rabbi Shlame or Miriam to help your child prepare confidently for their big day.

Before booking your date or placing a deposit for a venue, please complete the Bar/Bat Mitzvah form.
Once we receive your form, Miriam or Rabbi Shlame will reach out to set up a time to meet and plan together.

Fees:

We aim to keep the process simple and transparent.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Fee: $500 (due upon booking - includes Rabbi’s officiation and a custom ceremony booklet)
BMitzvah Discovery Course: $360
Private Tutoring: $75 per session (approx. 15–20 lessons)
Facility Fee: $150
Program Booklet Printing: TBD
Kiddush: TBD
