Fairfield rabbi: Protesters won't hurt holiday

The Fairfield rabbi whose Hanukkah ceremony was disrupted by Nazi protesters Sunday says he won't allow hatred to deflect attention from his holiday message of love.

Fairfield police say the three masked men who waved Nazi flags and shouted obscenities on the Sherman Green may not have broken any laws, but they are investigating.

Rabbi S. Landa, of Chabad of Fairfield, says he refuses to get down on the same level of the protesters, who witnesses say showed up at about 4:30 p.m. as the rabbi was lighting a menorah for the third night of Hanukkah.
